When it comes to teeth whitening, you may see many different methods featured online and in magazines—from oil pulling to charcoal, and even turmeric. Healthy smiles come in many shades, though it’s tempting to think ingredients in our own kitchens could hold the key to a brighter smile. Still, just because a method is natural doesn’t mean it’s healthy. In fact, DIY whitening can do more harm than good to your teeth.

Are you storing your toothbrush the right way?

Yes, you use it twice a day and it goes in your mouth… and even the cleanest of mouths are loaded in germs and bacteria. However, as long as you’re properly storing your toothbrush, that quick rinse at the end of your brushing is just fine.

We all want our teeth whiter, but many times people are cautious because they don’t want to do any damage to their teeth. With the increasing popularity of whitening, more products have become available and it can be hard to know what works and more importantly if they are safe for long term use. Today we’ll take a look at the safety of these whitening agents, and next time which type of whitening would benefit you the most.
